Mother's Day 2008

I love Mother's Day. I love to get breakfast in bed from my little girls. They get so excited about carrying a cookie sheet with food on it upstairs for me to eat. This year I just wanted "healthy cereal" much to their dismay. They poured a giant bowl for me to eat and chocolate milk. I loved it! Then they just sit and watch me eat. Karis always asks for a bite of whatever I am having. Then I get to open presents. I love homemade little presents from preschool and first grade. I get choked up opening those. I love to get the traditional funny card from Gregg. The cards out there get too sappy, and so we started this tradition a long time ago that we find the absolute most funny card you can find. Gregg is amazing at this. I should have been keeping them all of these years. Grace and Karis sang in church with the Primary for Mother's Day, and then all the mom's received a little lotion from Bath & Body works. Not a bad gift! It sure beats the wilting carnation that has been passed out the passed couple of years. Anyway, Kate was in a "lovely" mood on this day and wouldn't be in any pictures. I forced her to sit on my lap to get a picture with all of my girls. This Mother's Day was different then the rest. I have ALL of my kids here. I love it! It is a great feeling to know that the team has all been assembled and we are ready to play. Yeah!
